The Guardians' Throne - The First Magic Swordsman

Chapter 395 - Queen

Zaos dashed toward the big demon and then slashed his sword toward the monster\'s throat. The creature used its remaining arm to block the attack, but Zaos cut off both arm and neck. At that point in time, Tynessa was forced to get up. It wasn\'t by luck that a single human managed to defeat Xergoron…

While the other demons were resisting in attack, Tynessa flew toward Zaos at unbelievable speeds and then slashed her claws to his throat. Zaos jumped to the side thanks to his lightning reflexes, but the left side of his neck still got scratched and bleeding quite a bit.

"This speed…" Zaos muttered while he used Heal to close the wound.

Not even Aleni with enhanced legs could move so fast. Regardless, Zaos decided to finish off the other demons while Tynessa was turning to attack again. Zaos enhanced his legs and then dashed to attack the enemies that could fly. The creatures tried to use their wings with dark magic to block the slash, but they were paralyzed since Zaos used wind magic again to create an electric current on his sword. While the weird creature that fired projectiles was paralyzed, Zaos cut its neck.

Before Zaos could choose another target, Tynessa returned, and Zaos positioned his sword in front of him to block any attack since he wasn\'t fast enough. Tynessa passed by him without touching a single part of his body, but several wounds appeared on his face and arms. It was wind magic. Tynessa used that to increase the range of her claws without risking herself getting hit by Thunder Blade.

Zaos clicked his tongue in annoyance, and then he saw the remaining demons positioning themselves around Tynessa. They were preparing to attack Zaos at the same time when he focused on defending himself against her… their plan was so obvious and so incredibly annoying as well.

Without any other choice, Zaos decided that it was time to use some mana to wipe out those bastards. The fight was causing a lot of noise, so there was no telling when others would come to join the fight… when the demons began to run toward him, and then Tynessa flapped her wings to gain speed. Zaos suddenly created three Thunder Swords and then fired at the demons. The creatures didn\'t have time to react on time, and so their heads were hit by it. In the blink of an eye, their faces began to burn and melt. The creatures died, leaving Zaos and Tynessa alone. She ignored that and still attacked, and once again, her wind magic opened wounds around Zaos\'s face and arms.

"What a pity… you just killed the king of this country," Tynessa said. "He knew how to lick my feet like no other."

That was another crime on Zaos\'s list. The chances of him being forgiven for taking Ameria\'s life were close to none, and now he would be hunted down for killing two members of two different royal families. That was probably the first time someone did that in the history of that world, but Zaos didn\'t take pride in it.

"Are you guys really the underlings of the demon god?" Zaos asked.

"You fight us without knowing that?" Tynessa frowned. "Are you insane?"

"Kind of," Zaos shrugged.

"I really don\'t get you people, fighting for others without knowing a single thing, believing in stupid things like love and justice," Tynessa said. "He was just like you, but then he understood how stupid that was."

"Who are you talking about?" Zaos asked.

"Who else?" Tynessa frowned. "Our demon god, of course. He did the same thing as you, trying to protect a single life in order to protect this world as well. But since that was so stupid, he decided to follow his heart. If you have half of a brain, you should let that girl do what she is meant to do."

"... Don\'t talk as if she is some kind of tool," Zaos glared at her with fierce eyes. "The only thing she is meant to is to be happy in this world and by eliminating each one of you, I will make sure that she will be."

"You will have a lot of work ahead of yourself then," Tynessa said. "You may be able to kill this body, but we will return again and again and nothing will stop us."

The demons are immortal… Zaos might kill their hosts, but he can\'t kill their spirits. He didn\'t want to believe that, but it was evident that they had been killed when the demon god was defeated for the first time. That certainly happened, and yet they returned… that sure was troublesome. Tynessa thought that such information would make Zaos despair since it meant that he wouldn\'t have a single moment of peace. At the same time, he decides to protect Milliendra. Still, instead of that, he only showed an expression full of determination.

"Since that is the case, Let\'s end this," Zaos said. "I have many others insects like you to kill."

"Don\'t think that you can keep acting high and mighty forever," Tynessa said. "You are just a puny human, your existence can\'t even be considered to be a pebble in our path."

"Yeah, yeah," Zaos said while he rolled his eyes. "Shut up and then attack already."

There was no point in trying to fool a demon who probably lived ten times more than him, so Zaos didn\'t try it. Instead, he enhanced his sword with so much energy that the sparkles were even wounding him. Tynessa couldn\'t help but sweat cold while looking at that. Such ability to control mana… she knew someone who was that skilled, so she knew that the next attack couldn\'t be dodged. She should have obeyed Zaos when she had the chance…

Tynessa flapped her wings and then flew toward Zaos, but much faster than her initial speed could be. Zaos swung his sword, and then a massive lightning flew toward her.. The massive concentration of energy hit her body and destroyed her stomach, leaving only a hole behind.
